BIOGRAPHIE Benjamin Franklin
DJ Benjamin Franklin is an iconic figure on the international electro scene, known for his creative and daring sets. His career began in the 90s, when he became a key player in Parisian nightlife, playing in prestigious clubs such as Bains Douches and La Locomotive. In 2001, his meeting with DJ Carlos Campos marked a turning point, propelling him as resident DJ at the famous B. Fly on the Champs-Élysées. He stayed there until 2004, during which time he released several compilations and refined his unique style, mixing house, soul and lounge.
In 2004, Benjamin Franklin founded his own label, “Supersound Records”, which produces renowned artists from the Parisian scene. Thanks to notable remixes and collaborations, notably with CeCe Peniston and DJ KAIO, he gained international recognition. His style, characterized by percussive rhythms and a fusion of varied sounds, allows him to perform in the most popular clubs in the world, from Miami to London, via kyiv and Bali.
In January 2008, tired of unoriginal evenings, he created the innovative concept “Who the Fuck is Benjamin Franklin?” in collaboration with his friend MC Adrian. These evenings, which mix performances, drag queens and percussionists, quickly meet with dazzling success, attracting an ever-growing audience to the Palais Maillot in Paris. With more than 1,300 people per event, these evenings become an essential meeting place on the Parisian night scene, praised by the press and acclaimed by clubbers.
In 2015, in search of new inspiration, he moved to São Paulo, where he immersed himself in Latin rhythms such as Brazilian samba and Colombian cumbia. This immersion in the local scene marks a new chapter in his career. His performances, mixing electronic house and Latin percussion, seduce audiences in iconic clubs such as Pacha Rio and Zax Club in Rio de Janeiro, as well as the underground scenes of Buenos Aires. There, he collaborates with influential figures such as Hernán Cattáneo, strengthening his influence on the South American techno scene.
In 2024, after several years of creative collaborations and perfecting his art, DJ Benjamin Franklin makes a remarkable comeback with a series of new productions. These tracks, marked by Latin influences and captivating percussion, are played by the biggest DJs at international festivals such as the Ultra Music Festival in Miami and Tomorrowland. His ability to fuse electro sounds with the sensual rhythms of Latin America is a testament to his talent for constantly reinventing himself while remaining true to his musical roots.
Today, DJ Benjamin Franklin continues to rock stages around the world, from Miami to Mexico City, via Medellín and Buenos Aires, reaffirming his place among the legends of the turntables.
