Tasha Randrianarilalaina, 29 ans, de son nom d’artiste “Tasha” a commencé la musique à 19 ans. Captivée par la guitare basse qu’elle voyait régulièrement au sein de réunions familiales, et qui l’hypnotisait, elle a commencé en prenant des cours avec Jax ravel, qui 3 mois après partait s’installer aux Etats-Unis. Continuant avec rigueur et engagement à apprendre en travaillant plusieurs heures par jour, elle a réussi la performance de monter sur scène seulement 9 mois après commencé la musique. Par la suite elle a été la bassiste side de différents groupes malgaches en se produisant régulièrement sur scène (elle a joué à l’IFM 2 fois entre 2018 et 2020).
La période du covid fut l’occasion de s’introspecter pour mieux se découvrir et tracer la voie qu’elle imaginait pour son futur. C’est ainsi qu’elle a formé son groupe au début de l’année 2023, en exploitant en plus de la basse, sa voix et son désir de partager ses compositions.
A ce jour elle est la leader basse et voix de son groupe et se produit régulièrement sur la scène malgache au travers du pays (Concerts à Antananarivo, Antsirabe, Majunga, Tuléar. En tant que bassiste et auteure compositrice, elle apporte un nouveau regard sur la musique malgache tout en mettant la basse à l’honneur, accompagnée par sa voix unique.
Tasha Randrianarilalaina, aged 29, whose artist name is «Tasha», started playing music at 19. Captivated by the bass guitar that she regularly saw at family gatherings, and which hypnotized her, she started by taking lessons with Jax Ravel, who 3 months later left to settle in the United States. Continuing with rigor and commitment to learn by working several hours a day, she managed to get on stage only 9 months after starting music. Subsequently, she was the side bassist of different Malagasy groups, performing regularly on stage (she played at the IFM twice between 2018 and 2020). The covid period was an opportunity to introspect herself to better discover herself and trace the path she imagined for her future. This is how she formed her group at the beginning of 2023, exploiting in addition to the bass, her voice and her desire to share her compositions.
To date, she is the bass and vocal leader of her group and performs regularly on the Malagasy scene throughout the country (Concerts in Antananarivo, Antsirabe, Majunga, Tuléar. As a bass player and songwriter, she brings a new perspective on Malagasy music while putting the bass in the spotlight, accompanied by her unique voice.
